Privacy Policy

Last updated 28 August 2026.

This policy explains what data Additive Atlas collects, why, and what you can do about it. It's written in plain language on purpose - if anything here is unclear, email privacy@additiveatlas.com and we'll explain it properly.

Additive Atlas is a product built and operated by Alkaid Works Ltd.

What we collect

Account details. When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. Your password is never stored by us in readable form - it's handled entirely by our authentication provider, Supabase, using industry-standard hashing. You can optionally add a display name on your Profile page.

Your business data. Everything you enter into the app - printers, filaments, staff, costs, quotes, sales records and so on - is stored so the app can do its job: calculating your costs and prices. This data belongs to you. It's stored in our database and access is restricted so that only your own account can read or write it - another user of Additive Atlas cannot see your business data, and we don't use it for anything beyond providing the service to you.

Community catalogue contributions. If you add a printer or filament that isn't already in our shared catalogue, your submission may (after independent confirmation from other users and review) be added to that shared catalogue - but only the equipment specification itself (brand, model, wattage, etc.), never anything that identifies you or your business.

Anonymised benchmarking (optional). Account → Data & privacy has an opt-in setting to contribute anonymised equipment data toward community benchmarks. This is off by default, entirely your choice, and can be switched off at any time - doing so excludes your records from future benchmark calculations.

Cookies

Additive Atlas uses cookies for exactly three things, all functional:

  • Keeping you signed in (set by Supabase, our authentication provider).
  • Remembering your chosen currency.
  • Remembering your chosen light/dark theme.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party analytics service. Nothing about your visit is sold to or shared with advertisers, because nothing is being tracked for that purpose in the first place.

Who we share data with

We don't sell or rent your data to anyone. Your business data is visible only to your own account. We use Supabase to host our database and handle authentication - they process data on our behalf, under their own security and privacy commitments, and don't use it for their own purposes. Beyond that, we don't share your data with any other third party.

Emails we send

The only emails Additive Atlas sends are the standard account emails you'd expect - confirming your sign-up, and password reset links - sent automatically by Supabase when you request them. We don't send marketing emails or newsletters at this time.

Accessing, exporting or deleting your data

We don't yet have a self-serve "export my data" or "delete my account" button in the app. If you'd like a copy of your data, or want your account and everything in it permanently removed, email privacy@additiveatlas.com and we'll action it by hand. We're upfront that this is a manual process today rather than an automated one, and we intend to make it self-serve in future.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in any meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be flagged inside the app.

Contact

Questions about this policy, or about your data specifically, can be sent to privacy@additiveatlas.com, or via our contact page.
